Isn’t she just a doll? Her incredibly sweet mama contacted me early in her pregnancy to schedule a classic newborn session. A classic newborn session usually includes one or two blanket colors for those sleepy squishy poses, a few props, and of course family portraits. She loved my use of color for sessions and the natural yet polished look to the images. Her due date was relatively far off when she booked. I reassured her that due dates are simply used as a reference point for me. Once baby arrives, families get in touch with me. Then, we schedule for within the first 5-21 days of life.
Planning the colors for Baby J’s session was easy for her parents. They chose to incorporate their wedding colors navy and blush with hints of cream. The day before their scheduled session, I took time to plan and style what we would use. This ensures that when a family arrives the next day, they can look over all the options and make sure they love it. Shades of blue are my very favorite for baby girls! I was incredibly excited at the opportunity to use them. Baby J was very sleepy and content for her session because her parents did a beautiful job following my newborn session prep instructions. We were able to capture the poses and props her parents were hoping to capture. For family portraits, we went with a relaxed, natural light lifestyle feel. With twenty feet of windows spanning one wall of the studio, it allows a flood of gorgeous natural light.
Here are just a few of my favorites from her newborn session. She will be coming back for her sitter milestone session and first birthday session too! I cannot wait to see her and her family again here at the studio! It’s always amazing to see just how fast these little ones grow and the milestones they reach in such a short amount of time.
