Baby Girl Newborn Photography | Pickerington, Ohio

I actually did this baby girl newborn photography session back in February…but you know what? I LOVE her session and wanted to share it with all of you! As I get back into the swing of blogging I’m mostly focusing on recent sessions, but there’s nothing wrong with a little blast from the past. (Plus, I’m going to be seeing this little one again this coming February for her cake smash photoshoot, and I’m looking forward to it already!)

Love My Growing Families!

It was fantastic to see this family again and catch up on how they’ve been. I’ve know them for quite a while as I photographed her parents’ engagement session and wedding several years ago, back when I was a wedding photographer. (I did that for about eight years, doing 25-30 weddings a year, before finding my passion for newborn and baby photography. I’ve actually had several of my wedding couples who later contacted me for newborn photography sessions as they started their families, which has been so much fun!) I also photographed this little lady’s older brother during his first year of life. Can’t believe how much he’s grown–and what an amazing big brother he is!

Beautiful Colors for a Beautiful Baby Girl

Mom and Dad didn’t want the traditional pink and white color scheme for this baby girl newborn photography session. Instead, they chose some beautiful, rich, non-traditional colors which I absolutely loved! Her father picked the blues (yes, of course you can do blue for a girl!) and Mom picked the reds because baby girl was born right before Valentine’s day. We also mixed in some darker plum, just because it went so well with the other colors, as well as some creamy neutrals to balance things out. Is she gorgeous or what?

It was so much fun seeing this family again with their new and precious addition! I’m so glad they made the drive over to my studio from Pickerington, Ohio, and can’t wait to see them again in a few months!
